Old Drift Lodge is Victoria Falls' premier luxury safari lodge, set within the Zambezi National Park on the banks of the Zambezi River. Named after the original colonial river crossing upstream of the Falls, Old Drift combines five-star comfort with genuine wilderness — elephant, buffalo, and hippo are regular visitors to the lodge grounds.
Accommodation
Luxury Tented Suites — Seven spacious suites raised on platforms among the riverine forest, each with king bed, indoor and outdoor shower, private plunge pool, and expansive deck overlooking the Zambezi. The design blends contemporary elegance with the classic canvas-and-timber safari aesthetic.
Family Suite — An interconnected two-room suite designed for families with children, with dedicated kids' amenities and a family-sized plunge pool.
The Experience
Game Drives — Morning and evening drives through the Zambezi National Park. The riverfront ecosystem supports elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard, sable, kudu, and prolific birdlife.
River Activities — Private sunset cruises, canoeing, and fishing on the Zambezi — all departing directly from the lodge.
Victoria Falls — The lodge arranges guided tours of the Falls and all adventure activities, with the advantage of staying in the national park rather than the town.
Spa — In-room treatments and a dedicated spa area for post-adventure relaxation.
Dining
Meals are an event. Multi-course dinners are served in the elegant dining room or under the stars on the riverbank. Local ingredients, creative presentation, and an excellent wine cellar make every meal memorable.
