The River Brewing Company
About The River Brewing Company
Artisan microbrewery in the town centre with craft beers and casual pub food.
Craft Beer on the Banks of the Zambezi
The River Brewing Company is Victoria Falls' first and only craft brewery, and it has quickly become one of the town's most popular hangouts. Set in an open-air riverside venue just upstream of the Falls, this is where locals and visitors gather for fresh-brewed beer, wood-fired food, and unforgettable sunsets over the Zambezi.
The Beer
Brewed on-site — All beers are crafted in small batches using the brewery's own equipment, visible from the bar. The lineup rotates seasonally, but favourites include:
- Zambezi Lager — A crisp, refreshing lager perfect for the African heat
- Falls Pale Ale — Citrus-forward and hoppy, brewed with imported hops
- Mosi Golden Ale — Smooth and malty, named after the "smoke that thunders"
- Seasonal specials — From stouts to wheat beers, the brew team experiments constantly
Beer flights are available for those who want to taste across the range.
The Food
Wood-fired pizzas are the star — thin-crust, generously topped, and cooked in a blazing brick oven. The menu also features burgers, platters, salads, and bar snacks designed to pair with the beers.
The Setting
- Riverside deck — Tables overlooking the Zambezi; watch hippos surface and fish eagles hunt as you sip
- Sunset sessions — The west-facing deck delivers some of the most spectacular sunsets in Victoria Falls
- Relaxed atmosphere — No dress code, no pretension; just good beer and good company
- Live music — Regular acoustic sets and weekend entertainment
